Jim Heisler is the Founder and President of Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency.  Though his main responsibility is the administration of the Company, Mr. Heisler loves being a Broker and continues to maintain a significant book of business. He feels the day-to-day risk placement and assessment keeps him sharp and attuned to the changing market, and the needs of IES’s retail partners.  Mr. Heisler feels this awareness also helps him become a more effective business administrator.

In 1982 Mr. Heisler began his insurance career with a brief stint selling life insurance.  In 1983 he joined an insurance wholesale brokerage firm as a Broker and quickly excelled to managing a commercial division of the company.  Seeing the need for a wholesale brokerage firm providing Professional Lines coverages and superior customer service, Mr. Heisler went solo and founded Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency in 1992.  Since those meager beginnings in 1992,  himself sharing an office with a generous retail agency friend, Mr. Heisler has cultivated his Company into the resounding success it is today.  His agency now writes multiple Professional, Commercial and Surplus Lines coverages in several states.

Mr. Heisler contributes his success to his heart felt respect and dedication to his retail partners, and surrounding himself with dedicated and loyal employees he holds dear to his heart.

Mr. Heisler holds a B.S. Degree in Business Administration, and is a licensed Property / Casualty & Surplus Lines agent in several states, and a licensed Insurance Consultant.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, and is heavily involved in his church ministry, with a passion for music ministry.  It has also been rumored that he occasionally enjoys a competitive round of golf.
