Darren Eversole serves as Director of Marketing & New Business of Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency.  He is responsible for directing the Marketing and New Business teams, advertising, media selection, marketing strategy, promotions, public relations, internet & web site promotions and products, retail partner and carrier relations, and special events.

Mr. Eversole joined IES February 1998 as a Surplus Lines Broker.  After spending six years as a Broker, developing and maintaining a successful book of business for IES, Mr. Eversole’s talents and experience in marketing and communications were becoming increasingly called to service as IES continued its tremendous growth.  He was promoted to Marketing Manager in 2004, and was named Director of Marketing in 2005.

Prior to joining IES, Mr. Eversole worked as a Multi Lines Underwriter for a local Surplus Lines carrier.  Prior to arriving in Oregon, he spent four years with a National Surplus Lines carrier in Arizona, where he had worked his way to Commercial Casualty Underwriter.  Before moving to Arizona and beginning his insurance career in 1991, Mr. Eversole was a Flight Attendant for a major airline based on the East Coast.  Before joining the airline industry, Mr. Eversole was a Reporter and Videographer for an ABC affiliated television station in Kentucky.  His media experience also included hosting and reporting for a public radio station in Central Kentucky.

Mr. Eversole is a licensed Property / Casualty agent in Oregon.  He holds a B.A. Degree in Broadcast Journalism, and is a licensed instrument rated private airplane pilot.  He enjoys spending time with his family, snow skiing, photography, and baking bread. In his spare time, he is learning to play mandolin.
